Amber Ale with Biscuit Rye – 10L All Grain Kit

Our all grain kits are our own tried and tested recipes for classic and modern beer styles. Included in the kit are all the ingredients needed to make 10L using a standard BIAB (Brew in a Bag) setup such as our BIAB Starter kit, or your prefered equipment such as a Grainfather (Micro pipework required). You will also need a set of scales for measuring hops.

 All our all-grain kits contains a milled grain bill, hops, yeast, and any other items required for the style (such as kettle finings, spices, brewing salts), as well as a recipe card.

Pilsner Malt, Biscuit Rye, Munich, Caramunich 2, Carafa Special 3, Flaked Barley, Rice Hulls

Hallertau, Styrian Golding, Chinook hops
Safale S-04 Yeast

The Style:


When a bag of biscuit rye arrived at the shop, there was much discussion about what we’d try to brew with it… but a quiet Saturday has us adapt an old favourite Amber Rye recipe.

 Biscuit Rye strikes a pleasant balance between toasted, biscuit forward flavours and classic rye spice, giving this amber ale a crisper finish versus our past versions with regular rye malt.  Hops are added in the whirlpool and dry hop, giving piney and earth aromas to complement the rye.

 A refreshing Amber Ale to enjoy, even on hot summer days.
