Mild Spelt Pale Ale – 20L All Grain Kit

 Our all grain kits are our own tried and tested recipes for classic and modern beer styles. Included in the kit are all the ingredients needed to make 20L using a standard BIAB (Brew in a Bag) setup such as our BIAB Starter kit, or your prefered equipment such as a Grainfather. You will also need a set of scales for measuring hops.

 

All our all-grain kits contains a milled grain bill, hops, yeast, and any other items required for the style (such as kettle finings, spices, brewing salts), as well as a recipe card.

Pilsner malt, spelt malt, rolled spelt, acidulated malt, honey malt
Columbus, Nelson Sauvin hops
US-05 and T-58 yeast

 The Style:

With its ancient lineage, Spelt in Malted, Flaked or in raw form has become a favourite of artisanal brewers. Dry, almondy, macadamian-y flavours and atmospheric light acidity. Many styles can be warped by Spelt‘s subtle syncronicity. In homage to this characterful grain we have formulated a bright, other-worldly, juicy mid strength Pale Ale for your December drinking debauchery. We get notes of cosmic coconut milk, girthy gewurztraminer, pithy pineapple and balanced acidity
